Traveling can be a hassle, and often even more so if you’re bringing kids. The checklists, planning, packing, and preparing—and by the time you reach your destination, there’s only one thing you can think about: taking a nap.
We’re the Lee family (you might know us from @artsfoodfamily), with Mom Dayna, Dad Brian, and baby Ezra. Join us while we escape the summer heat in the Big Apple and share our top tips for traveling with a baby. Are you ready? Let’s go!
Leaving Home

)
It’s vacation time! We set off this morning with all our luggage and baby travel essentials, ready for the trip. We never leave without our baby carrier, travel crib, and baby bouncer as they’re must-haves for us whenever we’re on the go. The crib is easy to carry and comes with a transport bag, which is perfect for little getaways. Our best tip is to also buy a bag for the bouncer—trust us, it's a game-changer for traveling!

Catching a Cab

)
Like true New Yorkers, we went out to catch a cab. Ezra was happily chilling in his baby carrier while we loaded everything in. Once inside the cab, we realized we had to make a teeny-tiny detour before we could leave for Grand Central.
Last-Minute Errands

)
No matter how much you plan, you always seem to forget something, right? We had to run some last-minute errands before heading to Grand Central, but luckily, we still made it in time.
Finding our Platform

)
Grand Central is huge, and it can get quite crowded. Our baby carrier was such a lifesaver here—it would’ve been a struggle to keep track of our luggage, check the tickets, and all that jazz without it. Ezra did so well the whole time in his baby carrier, which made Mom and Dad very happy.
Boarding the Train

)
Yes, we made it to the train! We quickly found our seats and stowed our things on the luggage rack before settling in and letting out a big sigh of relief. Traveling with a baby can get stressful, and we were happy that things went as smoothly as they did.
Leaving New York
